Motorola and Verizon unveiled the latest in the “Droid” line of smartphones. The Droid Turbo, a Verizon exclusive, is a monster when it comes to specifications.
The device has a 5.2 QHD screen at 1440p, at 565ppi. The device also runs the new Snapdragon 805 at 2.7 GHZ, with an Adreno 420 GPU. The Turbo, comes with a 21 MP rear facing camera, 3 GB of RAM. Some of the most interesting aspects of the Droid Turbo surround the battery, which is a massive 3900MAH and is capable of 8 hrs of use time with only 15 mins of charge time and can last nearly two days on a single charge.
The device will run Android 4.4.4 out of the box, but will be upgraded to 5.0. The Droid Turbo, runs a near stock version of Android but will include all of Motorola’s software enhancements, like Moto voice. The Turbo, will come in 32 and 64 GB configurations and will have a Ballistic Nylon or Metalized Fiber for the body.
