Google Recruits Former Amazon Engineers For Project Aura

0

Former Amazon engineers from Lab126 (responsible for the Firephone) have been brought on to help with the next iteration of Google Glass. While the name is familiar to Google’s modular phone ambitions, code-named Project Ara, the two plans are completely unrelated.

Although the first attempt at Google Glass was largely seen as a nice experiment, the project saw considerable backlash from privacy advocates as being “to intrusive” and so after a long trail period the project was put on hold, but after a few months of lying dormant, it seems Google is again moving forward with Glass development.
