Google To Add Play Store To Chrome OS?

0

Fans of Chrome OS may soon be getting a huge update. A user on Reddit that goes by the name “TheWiseYoda” found references to the App Runtime for Chrome (ARC) in the latest source code for Chrome OS. This could mean that Google Play Store is making its way out on to the Chrome OS.

The benefits of this would be obvious and immediate. With access to over a million applications in the Google Play Store it would bring endless productivity, and entertainment, making Chromebooks extremely compelling devices, – more than a simple web browser, and put them close to an application parity with Windows and OSX.

So does this make you want to switch to a Chromebook if this comes to pass? Sound off below.
