Linshof, a newcomer to the smartphone world. Has unveiled it’s Octagon shaped i8 smartphone. The device is an interesting mix of software and hardware as it’s UI (from mockups) look surprising fresh and focused.
In terms of the Linshof i8’s specifications. The device ill be running an unnamed 2.1 Ghz Octacore processor and will come preloaded with a whopping 80GB of storage. What makes the flash drive so interesting is it’s a 64GB partition with an additional 16GB stored on what the company details as a “higher speed” flash chip, which similarly to Apple’s “Fusion Drive” allows for speedy application launches. The i8 will also have a 13MP Sony Camera sensor, a 5″ 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, and will also have a 144GB model available for future purchase, which Linshof calls the i8 Space Smartphone.
The price of the i8 will be below $400 and will be released in the first quarter of 2015, with the rest of Linshof’s product line.
The software that the i8 will run, is based on Android 5.0 and will be running atop a Linshof custom UI.
The software and hardware aesthetics will also carry over to what Linshof calls the “Performance Tablet.” The tablet will carry the exact same hardware configuration with that of the i8, with the exception of the screen, which will be a 2048X1536 10.1 inch panel.
The last part of the Linshof product line is the Linshof Professional PC. The PC has a ton of power within it, all at a $2600 price point. What this gets you is, a 8 core intel i7-5960X at 3.8GHZ, a GTX 980 HOF Superclocked, 4GB GDDR5, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1TB SSD Drive, and will come with a decent motherboard and an integrated Blue-ray recorder/player in an all metal tower.
While the PC is a beast when it comes to gaming and most editing needs, the price in which your able to get it at is an awesome value.
