Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Oppo, announced the worlds thinnest smartphone. At 4.8mm, The R5 takes thinness to an extreme. With the removal of the headphone jack, the R5 has managed an extraordinary level of detail in how thin it is. To compensate for a lack of a headphone jack, the R5 uses an attachment that attaches to the micro USB jack which allows for a headphone jack to be included.
Specification wise, the Oppo R5 has a 5.2 in, 1080p screen which comes along with an Octa-Core 1.5 GHZ Snapdragon 615 processor, with an Adreno 330 GPU. The R5, will come with 2GB of Ram and will contain rapid charge technology similar to that of the Droid Turbo. The R5 will contain a 13 Megapixel Sony Exmor sensor, and have 16GB of storage with no MicroSD card support.
For software, The Oppo R5, uses the Color OS 2.0 operating system, which is a heavily modified version of Android 4.4.4. The R5, will also be made of a special alloy, which should aid in heat dissipation.
The Oppo R5 is available unlocked from the site here. And will come in Gold and Silver.
