Microsoft at MWC this year announced two new Windows Phone devices that will really push the low-end market. The two devices, the Lumia 640 and 640 XL , are on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of specifications.
Both devices will have a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM, but that’s where the similarities end. The Lumia 640 will have a 2500 MAH battery, along with a 5″ 720p display. It will also sport a 8 megapixel camera and will come in several colors ranging from Black, Cyan, White, and Orange for an wide array of color options. The 640 XL, will have a 3000 MAH battery, a 13 megapixel camera and a 5.7 inch 720P display.
Both devices will run Windows 8.1 and will be upgraded to Windows 10 later this year. In terms of pricing and availability, the 640 and XL will come in 3G and LTE variants starting at $139 Euros maxing out at 219 Euros for a LTE equipped XL
The devices will be available in Europe later this year with a more international release coming later this year.
