Rare SNES-PlayStation Hybrid Made By Sony And Nintendo Surfaces

A rare gem has surfaced on the Internet. A user by the name of Dnldbld has posted some pictures of what appear to be an early prototype console built by Sony and Nintendo. Dnldbld stated:

My dad worked for a company, apparently one of the guys he used to work with, I think his name was Olaf, used to work at Nintendo and when my dads company went bankrupt, my dad found it in a box of “junk” he was supposed to throw out.

Some say that “Olaf” could be Olaf Olafsson, who was president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Inc. Still, little is known about the console, and we don’t know yet if it powers up.

There is quite a bit of history behind this console that dates back to the early 90s when Nintendo and Sony were working together. It was the infamous stunt that Nintendo pulled on Sony that most remember – the company announced that it had struck a deal with Philips, one of Sony’s rivals – this was a day after Sony announced a deal with Nintendo to make consoles.
