A Danish network administrator has humored his end users with a banana that dispenses WiFi passwords. The banana is hooked up to a Makey Makey GO USB invention stick that is then plugged into a Rasberry Pi computer with a LCD screen. Users simply touch the banana and the screen displays their 8 hour voucher for our guest WiFi.
When asked why Reddit user and inventor of the fruity device SysVival, posted several reasons. The secret to his interesting creation lies in the Makey Makey’s GO – in which a touch of a finger on the banana can create a tiny electrical charge which is then transferred to the USB’s circuit board.
So if you want WiFi in this particular environment you have to touch the banana.
